The HIT or MISS is a very traditional olde worlde English pub run by Irish couple, Michael and Mary Macken. With it's old parquet flooring, large inglenook open fireplaces, leather sofas and original low ceiling beams, as well as the rambling wisteria covering the front and the patio overlooking the pub's cricket pitch, it really does match everyone's image of the quintessential old English country pub. Except of course for its excellent reputation for high quality food served in very relaxed surroundings - not at all what you associate with traditional 'pub food'.
